Description: To win the woman he loves, Markus must do the one thing he can’t: create a flawless masterpiece. As he bargains and fights with a verbose and violent monster to acquire what he needs, Markus’ idea of love slowly comes to light, leaving him with a choice that could cost him his happiness. This story was an honorable mention in Story Embers’ 2019 Annual Short Story Contest.
